Our Safety Protocols and Operating Procedures

During our 6 month “pandemic” closure in 2020 we utilized that time and got busy. We re-designed our studio, created new operating procedures, consulted with local physicians; professional cleaning companies; government agencies and global fitness owners who had already opened to implement the changes to our studio layout.

Our priority: providing a clean, safe workout space for our clients so they can stay strong and healthy thru this pandemic and well into the future.

6/2021 to current day – All trainers are fully vaccinated and we have a 99.9 vaccination rate amongst all clients.

Cleaning & Sanitation

Adhering to CDC guidelines and effective 2023 mask wearing for clients and trainers is optional.  Every training zone will still be cleaned before & after each session. All AC units have been updated with UV lights that kill germs, bacteria, mold and other contaminants. The units also kill surface contaminants by creating and sending out oxygen “scrubbers”. Outdoor air ventilation has been increased. Nanoseptic touchscreens will remain on all door handles and cardio touchscreens.

Operational Procedures

We will continue to maintain individual training zones for clients and trainers. All zones are cleaned after each training session. Air purifiers have been installed throughout the studio.  No clients share equipment. We are open for appointment only.  

Clients & Members

All of our clients have individual training zones and will not share any equipment during their training session. Members will have reserved workout times; no drop-in’s accepted at this time.

 

Zones & Equipment Locations

Our studio has been re-designed. We have created individual training zones separated with partitions. All cardio equipment is spaced 8-10 ft. apart and has to be reserved in advance.

Cleaning & Sanitation

Adhering to NC guidelines masks are optional in the studio. If you prefer your trainer to wear a mask please don’t hesitate to let us know. For additional information regarding working out in a mask click here.

 

CLEANING

In addition to current ongoing cleaning protocols, we have added a rigorous, deep-cleaning and disinfecting process throughout the day.  All training zones are cleaned before and after each training session.

ALL equipment including bands, weights, tubes, etc. are cleaned after every use.  Therabands will only be used by one person before being cleaned.

Clients will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands upon entering and departing the studio.

All trainers will wash hands before and after each training session and will wear mask if client prefer.

Nanoseptic touchscreens have been installed on door handles, cardio equipment computer panels and railings.

 

DISINFECTION

All wipes and cleaners are medical-grade, EPA-approved disinfectants and designated effective against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Our disinfectant wipes, are proven to kill 99.99% of bacteria, viruses & fungi on equipment and are located throughout the studio.

Bathrooms and frequently touched areas (i.e. doorknobs, toilet handles, sinks, etc.) will be disinfected a minimum of four times a day.

SANITIZERS & WIPES

Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available in all areas of the studio – at the front door, individual training zones, locker rooms, etc.  All of our wipes and cleaners kill up to 99.9% of germs and includes 70+ ethyl alcohol, above and beyond the CDC ’s guidelines of 60%, with added Aloe Vera and essential oils.  Members will be asked to use disinfectant wipes on equipment they used before and after use in addition to our cleaning protocols.

 

AIR FILTRATION

Air quality is important to us and our clients when it comes to working out in the studio.  We have installed UV lights in all AC/Heating units. UV lights are used in hospitals, airlines and other commercial buildings where there is a high volume of people. The UV lights kill germs, bacteria, mold and other contaminants in the air stream.  The units also kill surface contaminants by creating and sending out oxygen “scrubbers.”

Outdoor air ventilation has also been increased.

 

Operational Procedures

During our 6 months “pandemic closure” we repainted all areas of the studio, did a major deep clean, redesigned our studio layout and purchased numerous sets of equipment and totally revamped our studio operating procedures.

 

LIMITED NUMBERS

Members wanting to workout on their own will need to sign up for their workout days & times in advance.

All clients/members will be required to stay in their assigned training zone during their workouts.

The cardio area will have no more than 2 people in that zone at one time.

 

 

INDIVIDUAL TRAINING ZONES

All clients and members will have their own individual training zones while working out. No client will share equipment during their training session.

Only clients/members with scheduled appointments will be allowed to workout in the studio.

Clients wanting to warm-up on cardio equipment before their workout session will need to reserve their equipment time in advance.

 

TRAINING SESSIONS

All hourly training sessions will be 50 minutes to allow for complete cleaning of the training zone and all equipment before the next session.

Half hour sessions will be a full 30 minutes. Training zones will be vacant for 30 minutes between each half hour session to allow for cleaning of training zone and equipment.

 

OPERATING HOURS

To ensure the safety of our trainers and clients we will only be open for scheduled training sessions or workouts.

GROUP TRAINING/CLASSES

All large group and small group training sessions are offered both in person and virtually.  The senior morning classes will remain virtual indefinitely due to the large numbers of those classes and the small size of our group room.

Any client or trainer who is experiencing symptoms, has a cold or has a temperature will be asked to go home and reschedule their workout for another day.

Due to the average age of our client we are tending to err on the safety side when at all possible.

Training Clients/Members

To ensure we can keep our capacity below state requirements and our clients and trainers safe we will only be opened for scheduled training sessions. We will not have more than 10 people in the studio at one time.

We ask that all clients stay home or workout virtually if they are experiencing or have experienced any potential symptoms of COVID-19 or if they have been around or come in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. 

Any client or trainer who is experiencing symptoms, has a cold or has a temperature will be asked to go home and reschedule their workout for another day.

Due to the average age of our client we are tending to err on the safety side when at all possible.

Each training zone has its own equipment – kettlebells, dumbbells, tubes, bands, etc.

All hourly training sessions will be 50 minutes to allow for complete cleaning of training zones and all equipment before the next session. Clients can come in and warm-up ahead of time. Please notify us in advance if you want to do this so we can reserve your spot.

Half hour sessions will be the full 30 minutes. Training zones will be vacant for 30 minutes between each half hour session to allow for cleaning of training zone and equipment.

WARMING UP BEFORE SESSIONS

All members and clients who want to warm-up on cardio equipment before their workout session will need to reserve their equipment time in advance.

CARDIO TRAINING ZONE

All members and clients who want to workout on the cardio equipment will need to reserve their workouts days and times in advance.

This will allow us to keep our numbers low and ensure adequate social distancing to keep everyone safe.

Zones & Equipment Location

Our studio has been divided into 6 individual training zones. This ensures all clients have “safe” zones for their workouts and will not have to share any equipment.

 

STUDIO LAYOUT

Only 2 people will be in the cardio zone at one time.

All clients/members will have their own individual training zones and all large group and small group training sessions are limited in class size and are offered in studio and virtually.

1. Is it safe to come back to gyms?

Life changed in 2020 and we don’t believe it will never be the way it was.  That’s okay, it has just helped us get better and improve our customer service.  We have adapted and are doing everything we can to create safe spaces for your workouts.  Numerous studies support that healthy, strong bodies are better able to fight off this virus. 

We have improved our business practices to reflect the “new” times. Putting an intense focus on safety is the most important thing we can do. Along with our medical-grade disinfection standards,  we’ve implemented rigorous safety protocols for our clients and trainers. 

2. What are the COVID-19 exposure control measures at Training Partners?

All clients are asked to stay home or workout virtually if they are experiencing or have experienced any potential symptoms of COVID-19 or if they have been around or come in contact with anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

Trainers and their clients will have their own training zone.

Disinfecting cleaners and hand sanitizers are located throughout the studio.

Any client or trainer who is experiencing symptoms or has a temperature will be asked to go home and get other trainers to help cover their clients or reschedule their clients for another day

3. Do I have to wear mask while working out at Training Partners?

As of 1/2023 all masks are optional in the studio.  If you are more comfortable wearing a mask we invite you to wear one.  If you prefer your trainer to wear one please don’t hesitate to ask us.  We want to ensure you feel safe when in the studio and are more than happy to do whatever we need to in order to make that happen.

4. How often are the equipment and studio disinfected and sanitized?

All training zones are cleaned before and after every client.  ALL equipment is cleaned before and after every client.  Our A/C upgrades also help cleanse the air and circulate fresh air from outdoors.  In addition, the entire studio is disinfected constantly throughout the day.

5. Will disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer be provided at Training Partners?

Hand sanitizers and wipes are located throughout the studio. The hand sanitizer solution kill up to 99.9% of germs and includes 70% ethyl alcohol, above and beyond the CDC’s guidelines of 60%.
