COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I get a locker or towel when I visit the gym?
Since renovating our locker rooms we no longer have lockers with individual locks. There are individual drawers where you can stow your personal items or if you have a concern about the safety of your possessions you are welcome to leave them in the office. We have never had a problem with possessions being taken but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Some of our members bring a towel from home however we have towels available in each locker room. We simply ask that you do not take them home. Please use the smaller hand towels for your workouts and the larger towels for showers. This will help us with our laundry costs. Please place all used towels in the dirty towel hampers when you are finished with your workout or shower.

How do I set up an appointment for a personal training session?
Phone or email us. You will then receive a welcome packet that includes various forms (medical history, personal fitness goals sheet, etc.) that will need to be completed before meeting with your trainer. This information provides the foundation from which you and your trainer will build your program.

Most of the time we are pretty good at matching a client’s personality and fitness needs to the appropriate trainer but we strongly encourage our clients to work with various trainers. Don’t worry; our first priority is to make sure you are comfortable and happy in your new wellness program. We all work together.

We do not use sign-up sheets for equipment since we usually have available equipment. If you are waiting for a specific piece, however, simply let the person on the machine know that you wish to use the equipment when they are finished.

What if all the pieces of cardio equipment are being used?
There is a 20 minute time limit on all cardio equipment if someone is waiting. We do not use sign-up sheets for equipment since we usually have available equipment. If you are waiting for a specific piece, however, simply let the person on the machine know that you wish to use the equipment when they are finished. We have never had a problem with this. All of our members/clients are quite considerate of each other.

Our busiest time is in the early morning from 6:30am until about 9:30am. If you want a fast 30 minute workout before heading to work you should be fine working out at this time however, cardio equipment might be limited. If you want to have a longer workout (i.e. a long walk on the treadmill or cross trainer), we suggest you come mid-morning or early afternoon when we are less busy.

What does that piece of equipment do, and how do I use it?
No worries! All new members are given a thorough training session with one of our trainers. We will teach you how to set the equipment (strength and cardio), what exercises and equipment are recommended, and will answer any questions you have about the facility, your workouts, etc.

For your safety and the safety of other members, our staff will frequently make recommendations on proper equipment usage and general exercise techniques
